Good question. To Anatomy, green design
is a commitment to mindfully examine our ideas, art and actions in an effort
to reduce our impact on the environment. We aim to produce and
support design initiatives that give back more than they take. Essentially,
we are
working toward positive impact and abundance.
Green design starts with good business practices, an understanding of and deep connection with the target market and a solid marketing plan. If you're promoting your product or service to the wrong people you're wasting energy and resources, not to mention the negative effect on profits. Design, no matter how brilliant, will not compensate for a misguided goal. If your ladder is leaning against the wrong wall it doesn't matter how strong the ladder is nor how fast you climb, you will not reach your destination.
